Murder on the Links
A Hercule Poirot Mystery (read by Hugh Fraser)
An enjoyable outing but not one of her best; let's just call it a slow start to her future. As always, I don't want to spoil the book for anyone who hasn't read it so I will just say that it is full of twists, turns and surprises. Just when you think you have it solved, Christie throws in another bit of information and sends you in an all new direction. Hastings needs a bit of a kick in the pants in this one, and that is putting it mildly; on the other hand, it makes him a foil for Poirot's unblemished perfection. Beyond that, I don't have much to say about this book that has already been said.
Bottom-line: Three stars
