Set in Boston, Massachusetts.
Task 1: Be thankful for yourself and treat yourself to a new book – post a picture of it. (This can be a library book.)
I already treated myself to at least 93 new books this year, don't you think that is enough?
Task 2: List your 5 favorite books of 2020.
- The Years of Lyndon B. Johnson: The Passage of Power by Robert Caro (read by George Guidal) Part of the multi-volume biography that Caro is still working.
- Don Quixote by Miguel Cervantes (translated by Edith Grossman and read by George Guidall) perfect confluence of translator and reader
- The Inspector Ian Rutledge series by Charles Todd. I can't choose one over the other because I have enjoyed then all.
- The Hardest Job in the World: The American Presidency by John Dickerson
- How to Behave Badly in Elizabethan England by Ruth Goodman --
Bonus Task #1: 2020 was a difficult year for many of us – all the more reason to appreciate the good things in life. List of 5 things that you are grateful for, either this year or generally.
**Good health
**A steady, loving partner, my knight in shining armor, slayer of dragons (particularly the ones garbed in white and wielding a hypodermic)
**Family
**Books and the time to enjoy them
