The Secret Adversary
Published 1922. Read by Penelope Dellaporta
Much better when read with belief suspended
What an enjoyable romp, especially if you don't take everything so seriously. While sleuthing is involved, this one is really an attempt at a spy novel--purloined documents, international cast of characters, daring escapes and all. Tommy and Tuppence are a delightful pair, a bit of yin and yang, but definitely fun to be with. AC kept us guessing right up until the very end with plenty of dead-ends and mis-direction.
