Thirteen Guests
by Jeffery Farjeon (narrated by David Thorpe)
Well, they dropped like flies in this one! I don't really want to talk about the story or the mystery because I don't want to spoil the book for anyone who wants to read it. I will say however that had I been reading book in hand there would have been a lot of underlining going on --and these remarks would have been a bit longer. JF has a dry wit and acerbic tongue. He draws character in a few deft strokes. He makes a short story longer and the reader doesn't mind because he does it so well. All in all a delightful read, for a murder mystery.
This one is going on the re-read pile: three and a half stars.
