An "Agatha Christie Centenary Celebration" Read
Well that was fun!
Christie is starting to find her stride as a novelist. This was an improvement over the last few but she is still trying to mix mystery and romance -- something for everyone? -- and that is a bit annoying. Is she trying to write a story that will be enjoyed by men and women alike, the mystery for the men and romance for the women? A bit of old-fashioned sexism. Nonetheless, the story was fun, wholly preposterous, but fun. The characters were a hoot, perhaps even a bit caricature-ish, but still believable given the set-up. I guessed the bad guy early on but not the other mysteries in the plot.
